Testing Information

Parents of 4^th and 5^th grade students,

          Your child’s teacher has been working diligently in preparing for the B.E.S.T. Writing assessment. In accordance with state guidelines, the days that our campus will be completing the B.E.S.T. Writing assessments are the following:

• Tuesday, March 31 = 5^th Grade Writing
• Thursday, April 2 = 4^th Grade Writing

Please ensure your child has a good night’s sleep (10-12 hours) and a healthy breakfast the morning of their test. See the “Testing Tips” document for additional ideas to help your child prepare for their test. The writing test session is 120 minutes, with all students afforded the opportunity to test up until half of the school day. Students may not be accepted into the test session if arrival is past 8:40am, so please plan to arrive to school on time on these two days. Makeup sessions will be offered during the week of April 6-10. Communication will be sent regarding specific makeup date/s following completion of the first week of testing.
